Tumalo Falls http://www.waterfallswest.com/or_tumalo.html This striking Waterfall is only the beginning of dozens of other waterfalls that sit behind it. It is easy access to the large waterfall and for those who like to hike, you’ll see a plethora of unique waterfalls on your hike beyond.
Black Butte http://www.oregon.com/hiking/black_butte.cfm One of the most perfect Buttes (Many elsewhere would consider it a Mountain) you can find anywhere. Its magnificence is extraordinary.
Proxy Falls http://www.waterfallsnorthwest.com/waterfall.php?num=1644&p=0 My favorite spot to visit each year. There are two water falls that are very different from each other and a very enjoyable hike along the way. Plus you get to drive through the amazing Santiam Pass Scenic Byway.
Santiam Scenic Byway http://www.byways.org/explore/byways/2148/stories/47045 A magnificent drive and one of Central Oregon’s most fun. Drive through incredible Lava Flows that will make you feel like you’re on the Moon.
Crater Lake Ok, so Crater Lake isn’t actually in Central Oregon but it is so magnificent that it is worth the 2 hour drive to experience this natural wonder of the world.
Smith Rock One of Central Oregon’s most famous landmarks and the birthplace of American Sport Climbing. If you see Smith Rock at Sunrise or Sunset it will take your breath away! Lots of trails and small community of avid rock climbing enthusiasts. Don’t forget to grab a huckleberry ice cream cone at the nearby Smith Rock store.

This is a gorgeous stretch of road perfect for your convertible, Motorcycle, Bicycle, or whatever other mode of transportation you’re into. More amazing lakes then you can shake a stick at. I’ve lived here for 36 years and still have not seen all the lakes in this amazing neck of woods. The two websites above will give you a better idea of what there is to see.

The Canyon rises up majestically all around you and the area is so large that you can rent a houseboat while you explore the vast canyon channels.

This forest is one of the most popular in all the Pacific Northwest with well over 100 campgrounds to enjoy the great outdoors in. From primitive to full service facilities, you’ll never see everything there is to do here.
Head of the Metolius River A river that springs up from underground. You’ve probably never seen anything like it and it is worth taking a closer look at.
Cultus Lake http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/centraloregon/recreation/fishing/lake-reservoir/cultus.shtml Another of the large Lakes in Central Oregon that’s great for boating and camping. The far side of the lake has wonderful sandy beaches that are popular for day use and camping.
Fort Rock http://www.oregonstateparks.org/park_40.php Our version of Ayers Rock in Australia. This area was once a sea with this lone, stone island in the middle of it. Some of America’s oldest artifacts were discovered here.
